“Without music, life would be a mistake.”
— Friedrich Nietzsche
My family members are all musicians. weird but true. We l,oooooooooove music and we all joined the choir department. Mine started when i was small. We hosted a family meeting and they sang. Watching and listening to the song as i could remember, rang bells in me. just loved it. My brother played the keyboard. Since that time, im in forever.
There is something about jazz i really don't understand. Why is it so beautiful? God, why.
Jazz captured my heart with its improvisation. It looks like its free from any structure, but yet its within the structure of the chord at that moment. I love jazz soo much.
Who knows. It may be because of its 2-5-1 progression. Its very potent and powerful. Adding it with major seventh and diminished chords, jesus. It will change your mood. (sorry, if you don't understand what im saying)
Just started loving minimal music recently, thanks to philip glass. Its slow, methodical and uses phases, slow build up and very patternistic. Like the minimalist art. Although, boring at times.
Ive played in churches before. There is no way you won't like gospel.
